Senior Backend Developer

Responsibilities:

• Develop & implement tests for ensuring the quality, performance, & scalability of our application.
• Mentor other engineers and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to engineering standards, tooling, processes, and culture.
• Work with other back end engineers to implement technical solutions in a collaborative and supportive environment.
• Assist in triaging and resolving production issues.
• Propose alternative approaches and solutions to solve problems and improve processes.
• Work with the front end team and the product team to ensure backend APIs meets the requirements of the product or solution
• Demonstrate secure applications development and contribute to the engineering organizations best practices.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of engineering experience as a backend software engineer in high-traffic Internet-based products, preferably in a microservice-based environment
• Experience in building fast, reliable and scalable (quality) implementations independently with the appropriate testing coverage.
• Deep understanding of a modern programming language such as Python, Nodejs, PHP
• Experienced with Cloud-based infrastructures like AWS
• Expertise in developing REST API
• Passion for leading cross-cutting technical initiatives to delivery, cross-functional consensus building and influencing design decisions
• Ample experience gathering requirements from business stakeholders and deriving software requirements
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading code reviews
• Proficient in designing systems and relational database schema design
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders alike
• Proficient in effective troubleshooting and issue resolution techniques.
• Experienced Docker, GraphQL.
• Great team player
• Understands Agile and other project management methodologies is a plus
• Knowledge of Odoo ERP, Click-up and google workspace is a plus
• Languages : English and Khmer
